Built for the founder of what came to be known as the Pisgah Home Historic District in Highland Park (on the National Register of Historic Places), Finis E. Yoakum provided faith healing and social services to the needy around 1900. His loyal followers repaid him by building a large Tudor style property to the south that would be used as his personal residence.
